Programs and Initiatives
SCHOLARSHIPS |
The Culinary and
Hospitality Education Foundation of Southwest Florida,
Inc. has established scholarship programs with the
following institutions of high learning: The Culinary
Institute of America (CIA) in Hyde Park, New York;
Johnson & Wales University in North Miami; and Florida
Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida, each of
which manages and administers funds provided by CHEF.
Criteria for recipients include being enrolled full
time, be majoring in the culinary or hospitality arts,
be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, demonstrate
financial aid, and have academic standing that assures
the ability to succeed (in the case of the CIA, a 3.0
GPA is required).
FGCU requires that recipients be graduates from Lee County or Collier
County high schools, while the CIA and Johnson & Wales
require that recipients be Collier or Lee residents.
